Simple Summer session 2018 has been successfully completed. Travis Hughes from the USA gets the first place in Simple Summer Session BMX street competition in Riga! On second place we see Mājinieks Kristaps Reimanis followed by third classified Jiri Blabol from the Czech Republic!

Simple Session, the wildest and most talked about BMX and skateboarding contest out there, will be back in Riga, Latvia, for the second summer! Over the weekend of 4th and 5th August 2018, BMX street riders and skateboarders from across the world will fire up the BARONA street skatepark – the most awesome concrete park in the whole of the Baltic States.
In the summer of 2017 one of the most anticipated BMX events Simple Session traveled south for the first time. At the peak of the Nordic summer it headed to the very heart of Latvia’s capital, the spectacular city of Riga. The best BMX park and street riders from around the world went head to head on a massive Wessel designed outdoor course on the city’s legendary Freedom Monument bridge.
Die Organisatoren der Simple Summer Session 2017 in Riga hatten für ihren Contest eine ganz besondere Location klargemacht: den Platz vor dem Freiheitsdenkmal im Zentrum der lettischen Hauptstadt. Das ist ungefährt so, als würde in Deutschland einen BMX-Wettbewerb vor dem Brandenburger Tor abhalten. Schließlich handelt es sich bei diesem 42 Meter hohen Monument um den geschichtsträchtigsten Platz des Landes.
On the 26th of August, the spectacular city of Riga, capital of Latvia, hosted the summertime BMX edition of the Simple Session series – the Simple Summer Session. The event was dedicated to the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and to the 100th birthday of the Republic of Estonia. An exciting and sunny day of competitions culminated with Kostya Andreev (RUS) and Alex Donnachie (GBR) stealing the show in the park and street finals respectively. The contest vas held on a massive and inspiring outdoor skatepark, built on the Freedom Monument Bridge in the heart of the city.
A total of 42 BMX street and park riders from 15 countries went head to head on the Nate Wessel
