It wasn’t sure where the 21st FAT-JAM was going to be held. A new location had been allocated but the neighborhood protested so it’s back to the good old spot, and how. The trails got flattened, but were built back up again with the help of a crane and a dozen riders with a shovel. New lay-out, more space and a few truckloads of good dirt. It would actually have been a shame to leave a spot with so much BMX history, a location that put Aarle-Rixtel on the BMX map, worldwide. On Saturday 22 August the next FAT-JAM will take place. It will be one of those good old days of BMX-ing. No stress, no security, free to ride, free to spectate, time to ride some trails, even if you never do ride in the dirt. Nobody cares you’re not making it through the lines the first time. If you pull it off at the end of the day that will be your personal victory. Or if you’re learning a new trick, there will be plenty of riders to give you tips. But hey, this is the FAT-JAM, nobody tells you what to do, as long as you have a good time. Bring your own drinks and if you forgot to do some shopping,
