Getting to the trails in Asten-Heusden was a challenge because of the "Kennedy march" which turns the town and the surrounding villages upside down once a year. Thousands of walkers challenge the 80 kilometers long march and many roads were blocked because of it. A few illegal turns later we made it to the Patrijsweg for the jam. The sound system was set up and I don't know where the couches came from but it created a chill area in the 30 degree temperature.
Dimitris usually rides at this spot by himself but this day he had about 20 riders show up to ride with him for an afternoon. The announced rain never showed up before the jam so with the help of the neighbours the jumps got treated with a little shower. Not enough I'd say but the attempt was there. I heard on the news that it needs to rain for 2-3 months straight to get back to the normal level. There was not much you could do but with the help of some Leende water and people picking up a shovel to shave off the dust it worked out good enough.
