National BMX Hall Of Fame: Class of 2012 nominees.

These are the 2012 National BMX Hall of Fame nominees for each category. As you can see below -- as announced at last years' Induction ceremony, they've added the fifth category: for Women. All of these women are brand new, first time inductees. Two of each category's nominees were the runner-up and 2nd runner-up from the previous year. The other 3 nominees have been added from the open nomination from the public.

Induction Ceremony
In mid-May, the official results will be announced and tickets will go on sale for the induction ceremony. This year's event will be held in conjunction with the U.S. Olympic Trials, both taking place on Saturday, June 16th, 2012 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Come out and watch as one American BMX Racer earns his spot on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team then spend an evening under the stars as the Class of 2012 is inducted into the National BMX Hall of Fame. Mark you calendars - we hope to see you there!

Selection Process

The 2nd and 3rd place finishers from last year's vote received an automatic placement on this year's ballot. The other nominees were selected by the following 2012 National BMX HOF Selection Committee members:

Eligible voters for the Class of 2012 include BMX HOF inductees, members of the BMX industry and media, select riders, Track Operators, and other knowledgeable individuals. Ballots submitted by someone other than those selected to participate in this process will not be counted.
