So there wasn't a specific reason why I wanted to restore this bike, besides that I always kept the 1998 S&M Warpig frame and Pitchfork w/peg bosses I rode in 1998 and I knew one day I wanted to bring it back exactly the way I rode it, especially since bikes are more then half the weight nowadays and perhaps it gives kids a perspective on how fortunate they are these days. Lifting it right now, I wonder how I rode this beast, weighing a lot less myself back then.
Retrieving parts wasn't easy, especially the Graveyard sprocket,
the Primo Stoogie pegs and Primo Pervert (cable splitter), but after a few Ebay searches and more then a few random websites, heavy BMX parts started showing up in the mail. The S&M Castillo bars must've been the last ones around and after sand blasting the frame/fork/bars, a new black powder coat, it was ready for restoration. I always stripped the factory stickers, so no need on trying to retrieve these (unless someone has them for grabs...)
So the final weight on this puppy is a whopping 43 lbs (19.5 kilo)!
