Another year has passed and it was another good one. Week in week out there were BMX events taking place. At some weekends there were five jams, contests or gatherings going on at the same time. You can complain about this but you can also see this as a good thing; choise, I mean, choice. The FATBMX event calendar is trying to keep you informed on the year 2007. We have pencilled in some big events but we are also adding local jams to the list because we know these are important to you. You can schedule your tour around the big dates or book a trip now that flights are cheap. Ryanair, Air Berlin and Easyjet have become a form of transportation because of their ridiculous deals sometimes. Look into it now and pay less. We take no responsibility on changed schedules so if it looks shady to you, you can decide whether you take the risk or not.

For 2007 we have once again scheduled to be present at as many BMX events as possible. We'll try hard to get the reports online soon after the event.

The FSO posse is once again putting a jam together. This time the venue is the indoor skatepark at Burnside skateshop in Deventer, Holland. The date is 13 January 2007 so if you have been away from your bike too much this winter, put it in the car and head for the FSO session. Starts at 2pm and it's only 5 Euros to ride. A good opportunity to say happy new year to all your BMX friends.

It's the time of the year again when people are sending Christmas cards to eachother. We've already received a bunch over the mail but the digital ones are coming in too. Do you have a cool one? Let us know. Mail them to us and in a few weeks we'll post them here at FATBMX. Get creative, do some photo shopping when you don't have snow around, find that big Christmas tree and ride it, can you jump your bike in a Santa suit? We want to see it. The latest poll has closed. After more than 1700 votes it is clear that you riders will do a litle bit of everything when it rains outside. First you sleep in, then you check your myspace and FATBMX before you head to the bike shop to tune in your bike. After that it's off to the skatepark with your video camera because when you return home it's time to edit that video clip.

When winter arrives you gotta figure out your riding possibilities. Get your group of riding friends together, rent a place tall enough to build ramps in and get to work. We've seen sketchy ghetto ramps under bridges but this German version is a bit better. 20 locals pay the rent. Sven Hoffman and Dirk Becker are the main forces behind it and got to work where everyone else kept talking about bowling in the other corners. Get off your ass and make things happen.

The waiting is almost over. It's 3 weeks until the annual Simpel Session contest in Tallinn, Estonia. If some of you still don't know where the heck it is then well, you should maybe just learn your geography. Simpel Session has grown to one of the most important winter meeting points of pro riders, bmx media peepz, team managers, distro owners, brand marketing lads and of course spectators.
