We are having a Jam at the Belchertown Skate Park this Saturday, August 12th starting at 1:00 and we would love it if you can come. We just finished building a new rythym section, a street spine, a curb-to-wall ride, a vert wall, a new ledge, and a new grind box-- the park is awesome! We are located off of Route 202 in Belchertown, Massachusetts behind the police station. Everyone is required to wear a helmet due to some trouble we have been having with the police lately. NEWBURY PARK, Calif. (August , 2006) – Setting a new level of dirt jumping domination, Giant BMX Team rider, Corey Bohan, won his third consecutive gold medal in BMX freestyle dirt competition at X Games 12 on Thursday. The win was a defining moment in Bohan’s career and an important moment for Giant with Corey winning on his new signature Giant BMX bike, the limited edition Rhythm Team. Bohan’s win will inspire riders of all levels and is a direct result of Giant’s involvement with the sport. “Giant is proud to congratulate Corey on yet another gold at X Games,” said Skip Hess, president of Giant Bicycle, Inc. 

THE SHADOW CONSPIRACY EURO TOUR .The Shadow Crew and Ronnie B. just arrived in London to kickoff The Shadow Conspiracy Euro Tour. They will be touring in both England and France along with Seventies and Frenchy's Distribution. We'll be announcing updates on both the Myspace and Shadow sites. 

CASSELBERRY TRAILS G.L. gave me a little tip this morning about the Casselberry trails here in Central Florida. The infamous Casselberry crew is reworking them and will hopefully be ready to roll around November of this year.

INSOMNIAC FLATLAND JAM. Chad Degroot and Kip Williamson are hosting the first ever Insomniac Flatland Jam on September 2, 2006 in Longwood Florida. Here is the link to the flyer on the Mesh Skatepark flyer.

Flatland riders are going to leave us alone at the FAT-JAM this year. This is the second flatland contest that is scheduled on the same day (August 19th). First we had one in Germany but now they're getting closer (Belgium). Maybe we should throw a flatland session in the FAT-JAM this year to keep a few of the party animals close to us. Frank Lukas and his crew are setting up a flatland jam / best trick contest in Koblenz, Germany. The date is 19 August 2006, the exact same date as the annual FAT-JAM in Aarle-Rixtel. Frank has gathered 1200 Euros for the best trick contest and we have nothing like that to hand out. Frank has arranged palm trees and beach sand and we have some dirty bushes and some black sand. Sounds like Frank has things organized so if you want to skip the FAT-JAM this year (unless you like scuffing and rolling on the nearby grass field), Koblenz sounds like an option. The woodenflatland platform will be built next to the water and will be 11 meter X 22 meter. For more info go to:

Bonn, August 2nd, 2006  T-Mobile goes BMX.  The cellular phone network broadens its existent engagement in cycling and gets involved with BMX sports in terms of national and re-gional support. The rebeljam in Berlin presents the ideal platform. From this summer on T-Mobile Germany gets in the national BMX scene and wants to support the twenty inch community targeted with helpful arrangements and push BMX sports forward in Germany. In the past US heroes like Ryan Nyquist and Dave Mirra have been already supported by the cellular phone network’s US sister com-pany. Through this support T-Mobile also previously attracted the German scene’s attention.

One of the first among counted arrangements is the support of BMX halls and spots: The Tretlagerhalle in Emmering got a Monster-Box, which was successfully inaugurated at the Country Bikes Contest on July 24th - 25th, 2006. In the BMX Park in Darmstadt T-Mobile provided a new ramp combination. The Playground Hall Aurich, the Roof BMX-Halle in Berlin and the Abflughalle Grevenbroich are also being backed up and are busy constructing their obstacles.
