The next CarolinaBMX.com contest coming up, that Justin Holt is putting on, is the Sleepy Little Town Pro/Am contest. Saturday July 1st 2006 at the badass YMCA Skatepark in China Grove, NC which is right outside of Saulisbury. Signup starts at 11am.

Eastern's Mike Corley is helping Justin get this one rolling. He lives like a mile from the park. The YMCA says they can have full run of the park, and a Friday night practice session is in full effect until midnight (7pm-12pm). Tons of prizes for intermediate and cash purse for pros. It will be a daytime competition and the Doobie Brothers might show up, might not.

LOS ANGELES – ESPN’s X Games announces the first wave of athletes who have been invited to compete at X Games 12, to be held in Los Angeles August 3-6, 2006. All athletes receiving invitations to compete at X Games 12 are chosen by a sport-specific selection committee. Criteria and timing of invitations varies by sport and discipline, as it is based on the state and event schedules of that particular sport. The only exception is each gold medalist from X Games 11 (2005) receives an automatic invitation to compete. Information on each committee and its sport’s invitation process can be found on each X Games sport organizer website. 

Mike Aitken & Matt Berenger are headed up again for the Street Justice VI contest in Canada as well as Rob - O & Brian Foster. 1664-Bernie had Nate Wessel designing the Course and his right hand man Ryan Corrigan flying up to build this sucker so you know the course is going to be insane. Bernie has already seen plans on one crazy ramp, so who knows what else these guys are gonna do with all this wood & pneumatic nail guns!

Danny Parks came a knockin' and I was already set to go on the trip to Virginia. I got to see the KONY Scion Xb. Thing is sick, they really hooked it up! We took off in that thing and first stop was Bob Evans Diner in New Cumberland,PA. Me and Danny would personally like to thank the waitresses at that joint for making our Bob Evans experience a good time! Made some new friends as well, HOLLA LADIES!!! KONY van's next stop was the side of the road...Xb got a wave down by officer "ticket masta sanchez" Danny had a led foot..but hey...who doesnt? Didn't bum us out, we carried on with the mission!

New designed street course at the Suzuki BMXMasters Like every year there will be a new street course with all the fun stuff for example spine, wall, ledge etc. It will be a mixture of real street and transitioned obstacles.
Lounge for everybody There will be no backstage areas at the Suzuki BMXMasters. So all visitors and riders can hang out and exchange together. We will arrange a big lounge at the Cologne Jugendpark with cool seats and delicious catering. Chill-out and be together!

Following on from the success of previous years, SNICKERS is bringing back its Best Trick competition activity at local skate and BMX events across the UK. It’s an initiative where everyone’s a winner. We will reward those that are laying down the tricks regardless of their ability. This means that the 10 year old who drops in for the first time is just as likely to get a share as the pro who is 10ft out the top of a vert ramp. Last summer, over 20 Snickers Best Tricks took place around the UK at events. This year, Snickers has a larger stash of cash to give away and is committed to making even more of these competitions happen. The Snickers Best Trick is an opportunity for riders to throw their best moves in a 30–45 minute jam session. Riders get countless attempts to try their biggest and hardest tricks within the time limit, and those that manage to pull them off to the crowd and judges’ satisfaction take home cash. Sweet! The best trick is always the most crowd pleasing and dynamic of any event: a very simple concept that enables riders to push themselves outside the normal limits of competition structure.
