McElhinney faced stiff competition for the PlayStation® Trick of the Week Award. Nyjah Huston, a Skateboard Park competitor, completed a Heelflip Frontside Boardslide during Finals. Top Freestyle Motocross rider Travis Pastrana was also up for the Trick of the Week after executing the first ever Super Flip which helped seal his FMX win. Skateboard Vert’s Sandro Dias completed a 540 Gnar Jar and finished his personal best ever in Dew Tour history – second place. Alistair Whitton performed a Handplant Hand-Slide during BMX Park Finals. PlayStation® Trick of the Week winner following the Panasonic Open, Ryan Nyquist was nominated for his Barspin 720.

Online polls open on the Monday following each event. Fans will vote for the PlayStation® Trick of the Year winner from the four Trick of the Week winners. Polls will be open throughout the week of October’s PlayStation® Pro. The winner will be announced during the Dew Action Sports Tour NBC broadcast on Sunday, October 15. This athlete will take home $10,000 in cash as well as other PlayStation® prizes.

Fans Choose Keith McElhinney As Winner For His Front Flip Flair in BMX Vert at Tour’s Right Guard Open
“I’m so excited, seems like a dream to actually land the trick and then to win,” said Keith McElhinney. “This is amazing. I look at all the other tricks that have won PlayStation® Trick of the Week and I don’t feel worthy. The past week and a half since landing the trick has been a whirlwind.”
