Founded in 1972 GT Bicycles is to license a line of ‘Heritage’ BMX products to Alans BMX, based in Wigan, England.

Back on November 14th, 1970, the first ever competitive BMX race in the USA was organized by SE’s founder, Scot Breithaupt in Long Beach, CA. From its simple beginnings on a dirt lot in a vacant field in the early 70’s, BMX racing is now truly a global and Olympic sport with hundreds of thousands of riders and millions of fans worldwide.
In November of 2010, both the city of Long Beach, CA and the county of Los Angeles proclaimed an official “BMX Day” to celebrate BMX’s 40th Anniversary. This Saturday night on Nov 12th, riders from all across Southern California will gather together and ride all throughout Los Angeles to celebrate BMX’s 46th Anniversary.
Come ride with past and present BMX legends Stu Thomsen, Perry Kramer, Mike Buff, Todd Lyons, Kris Fox, Javier Colombo, Harry Leary, Bob Haro, Martin Aparijo, Toby Henderson, Tommy Brackens, Ryan Guettler, and many others.
