Reeds most recently served as VP, GM of InSTEP, Pacific Cycle’s popular line of joggers, strollers and trailers, and prior to that he served as Pacific Cycle’s VP, IBD Purchasing.

The 2006 ABA season is now done and once again TEAM REDLINE riders have taken home their share of No.1 titles and plates. In an extremely exciting three main showdown, both JASON CARNE$ and BUBBA HARRIS defended their Championships for the year. Here is the second part of Redline’s GRANDS Race report – featuring the successful Vet Pro who puts in more driving miles in a single year than any other Pro out there. 

FATBMX provided Cathy Bluem with a media pass to visit the Arby Action Sports Awards up close. She caught up with BMX Award winner Ryan Guettler and talked about the victory, tricks he's got in the works and his plans for next year.
-How does it feel to win?
It feels fantastic, I know you guys all voted as much as you can. To be honest when they told me I got nominated for two events, I didn't want this, I wanted to go home (to Australia) it's winter here and I'm getting a cold, this was like two weeks ago, and they told me that I better stay. They couldn't tell me if I won or not but they told me I was nominated and I should stay. Which hinted to me that I might win one of them. The first award came, Comeback of the Year, I really didn't care about that one because it basically meant you crashed and got back on your bike. I wouldn't know what to say for that one so when I lost it to Brian Deegan, it was okay. But for this one (BMX) I didn't know who I was nominated against, so when they were announcing the nominees, Jamie Bestwick, Ryan Nyquist and Anthony Napolitan I figured there was no way I was gonna win this, I'm having such a good night anyways so there's no way I'm gonna win this. Then the chick turned around, and I was like woah, then walking up to the stage, it was the coolest feeling ever.

The night started off late as usual. My friend Heather and I got to the venue at around 6:20pm with the red carpet to begin at 6:30pm but it turned out to be more like 7:00pm before the first celebrities arrived. So there we stood, outside in the freezing cold (yes, it was probably about 60 or so and being from SoCal...that constitutes freezing for us) waiting for the show to begin. The first person to arrive was wake-boarder Dallas Friday. Following her where the hosts of the evenings festivities, the guys of Jackass including Steve-O and Preston Lacy. All I have to say is with those guys around, just expect the unexpected, they are all around really nice guys though.

Tulsa, Ok –November, 2006: ABA’s 2006 race season is now in the history books - and so is TEAM REDLINE rider BUBBA HARRIS. In fact, both JASON CARNE$ and BUBBA defended their No.1 plates from last year. And if that wasn’t enough, KIM HAYASHI took her first no-pressure Grands Victory. UCI is pleased to announce the track layout of the 2007 UCI BMX World Championships, which will be held 26-29 July 2007 in Victoria BC, Canada. The permanent track will be situated at the Juan De Fuca Recreation Park in Greater Victoria. The track construction has already begun with UCI Track builder, Tom Ritzenthaler, and will be finalized in early 2007. Click the image for a bigger photo and check the two pro-sections.
