When Genk last welcomed the previous Qualifier in 2022, the race was cut short due to a torrential downpour. The event was back in full swing this year, with riders eager to conquer the track under the sunny skies this time! Among them was Latvian powerhouse Kristaps Veksa, seeking redemption after a crash in 2022. Donning his signature white attire, Veksa blazed through the track, clocking lap times under 22 seconds.
Belgium's own Didi van Tiggel matched Veksa stride for stride, showcasing incredible skill and determination throughout the knockout rounds! Their showdown in the final was nothing short of legendary, with Veksa delivering his fastest run of the day to secure his ticket to the World Championships! And let's not forget Loris Jeanmoye (BEL), who claimed a well-deserved third place on the podium with his stellar performance!
