The flatland tent was way too small to fit everybody in. If you missed it on TV we're the first to tell you that Sam Foakes from England won the flatland competition. With Scott Obrien on the mic walking around like a madman and keeping the crowd hyped the finalists got two and a half minutes each to show what they got. Matthias Dandois is new on Red Bull but could not give them a first podium yet. Third place went to RedBull rider Terry Adams who had everyone laughing with his funny faces he makes while he rides. It helped him pull the hard stuff so maybe a few people out there should try the same. Second place went to KHE rider Adam Kun from Hungary who brought some good stuff to the purple circle. With flatland week coming up on FATBMX you better get used to those names.

We got to Cologne yesterday and it rained a fair bit. The set up looks good, especially the trails are sweet. Since they were built underneath a bridge a session was going on there and we can't wait before the contest starts. The Zoobruecke was the scene for the Dutch to get together. Riders were arriving in Camp Holland all night long and with the motto: "Party Like A Rockstar" they were welcomed with a beer or two. The sun's out today so we'll leave you with last night's party pics for now and go shoot some pics of the riding. Make sure to check back in over the weekend.

Houston Harmsen took the title in the BMX park contest this weekend at the Free Flow Tour’s Perris, Calif. stop, edging out some tough competition to become a winner on the 2008 Tour. Following Sunday’s BMX action at the Compound, Harmsen, 18 from Murrieta, Calif., won the park competition. With the win, Harmsen earns an automatic bid into the Free Flow Tour finals that will take place at the AST Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, September 11-14, 2008. 

On sunday june 29th our bmx jam took place in our famous little town called America(NL). After 1 year of absence the American BMX Jam was back. The fifth one to be exact. The local riders had been digging all week to shape and expand the trails, the pool was filled with water and with a little gravel here and there the racetrack was also ready to go. Over 30 riders showed up, mostly locals, so for us the day was already a success. Dale Reves with some Leende locals find their way to America and Mike v.d. Kerkhof 

Last year we could not get any words on paper about the RedBull Bikenight. Just did not know what to say about the BMX-MTB mix. This year we're making up for it with posts from qualifying, the partying, the actual contest and now a full on photo gallery. To get the right feeling you actually have to go to events. Pictures, words or videos don't even get the message across. But they help. A few sequences already show what was done, who were there and what the ramps looked like.
