Since the start of the season, Hurricane Group has been motived to reconnect with FISE's initial mission of bringing together riders and fans to celebrate action sports and the values that unite them. FISE Montpellier was intended as a real urban sports party where everyone is invited, from Amateurs to Pros, and including the many spectators that make the atmosphere at this iconic festival so special. With the current sanitary situation and many restrictions, which would drastically limit the number of people able to attend the event, it is no longer possible to meet our ambitions for the festival. Without the crowds of enthusiasts and international riders , no format envisaged can recreate what has ensured the success of FISE Montpellier since 1997.
Faced with this, the organization is forced to cancel the September edition of FISE Montpellier 2021.

2021 UCI BMX World Championships go ahead for Elite and Junior riders – no Challenge races
The competent authorities of the Netherlands have confirmed that both the Elite and Junior races for men and women at the 2021 UCI BMX World Championships shall go ahead as scheduled on 21 and 22 August in Papendal. However, due to the current pandemic (Covid-19) linked to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), the Challenge races for amateurs will be cancelled.
Still an expected 300 participants will race for the 2021 Elite Men, Elite Women as well as the Junior Men and Junior Women World titles that come with the UCI rainbow jersey. No Amateur classes, no U23, and no Master classes will be on the program for 21/22 August 2021.

Hailing from Andres, Colombia, Julian has been inspiring the world through BMX for years. At age 7, while riding a skateboard, Julian was hit by a bus sustaining a severe break to his leg. The injury worsened and as a matter of life or death, Julian’s leg had to be amputated. Years later, Julian discovered BMX, which turned his life around in the way of 360’s, flips and whips. Simple Session 21 will be back in Tallinn, Estonia, on August 20–21 with a big summertime festival and an all-around good time. This years’ event will be more exclusive as the tickets are limited and the venue will be more intimate and closer to the public than ever – the Simple Session series will host an exciting street contest in the hip up and coming Põhjala district – an old rubber factory turned into a cultural hub. Simple Session 21 will also be one of the first significant international events after the big Olympic debut for BMX and skateboarding in Tokyo. Sixty-four of the finest invited BMX street riders and skateboarders from all around the world will go head to head on a new 600m2 Nate Wessel-designed street course.
“I’m delighted that we can run the event at the youthful and vibrant Põhjala factory, make the Session during Estonian summertime and the riders and viewers will enjoy these sports as they were born. The global health crisis has prevented us from hosting the annual wintertime event, so we are happy now to host the Simple Session during the sunny side of the year,” says Risto Kalmre, the founder of Estonia’s biggest and world-renowned action sports event.
The event kicks off on the day of the Estonian Restoration of Independence on the 20th of August,
