Simple Session 21 will be back in Tallinn, Estonia, on August 20–21 for a summer-time festival and an all-around good time! The Simple Session series will host an exciting street-focused contest in the hip new Põhjala district – an old rubber factory turned into a cultural hub will serve as a thrilling new location for the event. A tight selection of the finest BMX street riders and skateboarders from around the world will be invited to go head to head on a fresh Wessel-designed 650 m2 course.

Taking place in Montpellier, France this innovative project is a new step for the FISE Academy, which has a long offered training for athletes hoping to advance their action sports skills. This new project extends the academy’s offering and opens the doors for young people who want to progress in the profession of Action Sports.

Woodward Camp, the ultimate experiential action sports company for the next-generation of passionate athletes, is excited to share that the winningest couple in BMX Race history, Alise and Sam Willoughby, are coming to Woodward! Alise and Sam have signed on as Week12 VIPs and will advise on all-things related to BMX Race Program including curriculum, health and wellness, and specialized equipment. The dynamic duo is excited to bring their holistic view of the sport to the daily coaching and clinics they have planned each day. The curriculum will focus on more than just riding the track and integrate all aspects of preparation including skills, strength training and sprints. A week with Alise and Sam at Woodward will not only be a week filled with race progression, but one filled with new friends and new memories – the summer we have all been waiting for.
After Alise finishes her third tour in the Olympics, the two will join Woodward to coach during Week 12 (August 22-28).

Michelin has launched the Pilot SX and Pilot SX Slick, two new BMX tires in its Racing Line range, targeted at competitive riders who compete at the highest levels and riders who want the ultimate performance when riding for pleasure. Using competition rubber compounds, sourced from Michelin road bike tires, the Pilot SX features a tread pattern intended for racing on soft tracks or in autumn and winter conditions, while the Pilot SX Slick features a marked and very shallow tread pattern which is suitable for racing on hard tracks, or in spring and summer conditions.

USA BMX - the largest BMX racing organization in North America - announced today the 2021 schedule for the USA BMX Freestyle Amateur Series that will include both digital and live competitions. USA BMX Freestyle first announced the amateur series last July. With a condensed season, the organization successfully held a digital competition culminating with a live Nation- al Championships held in December 2020 at Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania.
Amateur riders from across the USA are invited to submit a 30-45-second video through USA BMX Freestyle Instagram using any indoor or outdoor park of their preference for their State (Digital) event competition run. Classes for male and female riders will include: 10 and Under Women, 10 and Under Men, 11-14 Women, 11-14 Men, 15+ Women, 15+ Men, Masters Men (Age 40+), Expert (Open). Each age class will have both a State year-end ranking and a National year-end ranking comprised of points earned from State (Digital), National and Grand Final events.
