The June World of X Games lineup: BMX will take center stage this month with Real BMX, an all video competition highlighting the world’s best BMX riding. Wrapping up the month will be an all-encompassing recap of the Road to X Games Boise Park Qualifier, where 16 athletes will earn spots to compete in the first ever X Games Minneapolis.

As part of the Road to X Games content series, X Games will host the world’s top athletes in a Park Qualifier event on June 10 as they compete to secure their invitation to X Games Minneapolis.
This weekend, the final stop of the Vans BMX Pro Cup Global Series will bring together the event’s top-ranked athletes for a penultimate battle at Montenegro Skatepark in Guadalajara, Mexico, June 2-4. Stakes have been set high for the inaugural global series, thanks to Málaga event winner Chase Hawk, series points leader Sergio Layos, and top-ranking tour pros Corey Walsh, Larry Edgar, Matt Cordova, and more. Advancing pros will have a chance to prove their ranks at the first-ever Vans BMX Pro Cup World Championships in Huntington Beach, CA this August.
Famed for its many skateparks and prominent BMX scene, the city of Guadalajara is home to the one of the best park terrain courses, the Montenegro Skatepark. The expansive course sits amid a blossoming community park and showcases a spine, hips, extensions, and multiple uniquely shaped bowls that open possibilities for various transfer lines, and a shallow end that empties into a stone-faced wallride. The Vans BMX Pro Cup Series regional qualifier will take place Saturday, June 3, the day prior to the main event. Open to eligible registrants, the top 3 riders from Saturday’s regional qualifier earn an invite to the World Championship and the top 10 rankings will advance to the main event on Sunday, June 4 to join 18 advancing series pros and 3 wildcards for a final showdown.

Jason Phelan Loch Down takes BMX to the middle of the Holy Loch, Scotland. Combine deep sea diving and BMX and you get one hell of an idea. Jason has teamed up with The Professional Diving Academy (PDA) in Dunoon, Scotland to take BMX to the sea. GT Bicycle’s Jason Phelan‘s Loch Down video concept saw him crowdfund one of the craziest BMX projects ever seen. Building a series of jumps on a Loch in Scotland as well as head beneath the Loch in a diving cage, Phelan brings his usual approach of anything is possible to this incredible BMX documentary.

Mongoose Bikes, a brand of Dorel Industries, Inc., will head back to Woodward Camp in Woodward, PA, for the sixth annual Mongoose Jam. After two years at Woodward West in Tehachapi, California, the brand has decided to bring the event back East with their new Video Battle format. From August 7th through 11th 15 pros, five videographers and five amateurs will film and produce five team edits competing for a $40,000 prize purse. At the end of the week, the teams’ edits will be premiered forWeek Ten Woodward Campers. Prior to that, the edits will be judged by BMX industry veterans on originality, style and the difficulty of tricks used to determine the winning team.
Mongoose riders Greg Illingworth, Pat Casey, Kevin Peraza, Paul Ryan, and Ben Wallace will each captain one of five teams at the BMX-only event. Each captain will invite two pro BMX athletes and one videographer to join their teams. They will then draft one amateur from among the Woodward campers during the Amateur Contest to be held on August 7th.
Following the event on Monday, August 14th Mongoose will begin to release the edits on Ridebmx.com starting from last place to first where online voting will be held to determine which team gets the viewers’ choice award.

Pannonian Challenge bringing the extreme elite to Croatia. Whether it's inline, skate or BMX, Pannonian Challenge covers it all. One of the biggest European extreme sports festivals is celebrating its 18th B-day, and bringing some of the best riders to its all-black skate park.
Logan Martin, Michael Beran, Kostya Andreev are just some of the names who are going for the title at Pannonian Challenge, trying to beat the audience's cheering for the national hero - Marin Ranteš.
Skate day, scheduled on Friday June 9, has its own heroes, who find this city a second home. Designed by the local BMX riders, the park awaits to see some of the best tricks of the season.
Inliners will, as usual, open the festival's sports part - with Joe Atkinson and Joey Egan bringing their world-class skills to Osijek's Copacabana part.
But, don't forget, the festival prides itself on its nightlife skills, as well, and riders claim it's one of those festivals you rarely sleep at.

This summer – the world’s most anticipated BMX events Simple Session will for the first time ever travel south. At the peak of the Nordic summer it heads to the very heart of Latvia’s capital, the spectacular city of Riga. The best BMX park and street riders from around the world will go head to head on a massive Wessel designed outdoor course on the city’s legendary Freedom Monument bridge. Also skateboarding best trick will go down.
This will be the summer to remember.
