It's the week before our first BMX national of the year being held at Giba Gorge. To start off the season a pro shootout was held tonight on the newly built track. I have heard there are close to 300 entries for the national this Saturday which might not seem like a lot to other countries, but it's definitely a good turnout for South Africa. In fact it's the highest number of entries in quite a few years which is great for the health of the sport. A meeting was held before the shootout in regards to Worlds coming up here later this year.
UCI representatives bore me to death so I left before it could start to get ready for some photos. I shot these all in black and white because how often do you ever see race photos in this format? Only on Fatbmx yo.
