In Pro Cruiser, Donny rocked both Saturday and Sunday’s mains, coming out of the Sunshine state with a double for the weekend on the big bike. In AA Pro, “dR” looked good in Saturday’s first AA Pro main, winning the lap in fine style. In the second go-around, Robinson’s hopes for a AA win ended when he crashed with Derek Betcher in the last turn while in the second spot. He ended up with a seventh in that round, but landed on the podium with a third overall. Sunday, it was a case of déjà vu. Robinson once again won the first moto and crashed in the second main. This time “dR” finished a respectable fifth overall. “It wasn’t what I wanted, but I’m stoked to get the two cruiser wins,” stated Robinson. “I’m going faster than I ever have and I’m this close to getting a AA win.“ Congrats to DB on his first win.
Next up for Robinson is the NBL’s RM59 Tropical Challenge race in Puerto Rico next weekend. Look for “dR” to rock it island-style aboard his Formula Solution rides.
The Formula Factory Team consists of Elite/AA Pro Donny Robinson, Superclass/A Pro Mike Lundy, 17 Expert Warren McDow, and 11 Expert Chad Kerley. Look for an announcement this week regarding Formula’s newest Elite/Women’s Pro pickup.
