As many of you are aware, Kyle Bennett, was involved in a crash with Donny Robinson while training at the OTC in San Diego. Here’s an update on Kyle condition…as we understand it from the medical staff, Kyle is in pain at the moment but his doctors have confirmed that he is expected to make a full recovery. Kyle has two fractures in his collar bone, three fractured ribs, a bruised lung, a broken cheek bone and a torn liver. Thankfully, the doctors have advised against any surgeries at this time, as they believe Kyle will be able to heal entirely on his own. He will stay at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego for the next week or so to ensure he continues to progress.
Kyle’s family and close friends and trainer, Sean Dwight, as well as the OTC Staff are standing close by to offer both emotional and physical support. We thank you in advance for your well-wishes. If you’d like to send notes to Kyle, please do so on either is facebook page or on any of the regular BMX forms, as we know Kyle will be checking both regularly.
We’ll keep you updated on his continued progress.
Kyle is in good spirits, is expected to make a full recovery, and not surprisingly, is already excited to get back on his bike and make 2011 his year!
