On Saturday, Frode Hess, reigning Norwegian National Champion, started of where he left off on 2005 … on top. Frode and his Redline Flight Pro XL took the win, ahead of fellow teammate Kim Erik Larsen. Both racers were dominating all day. Anders Grønsund, the third Elite rider on Redline~Norway just missed the podium with a fourth place in the final, while 16 year old Andre Fosså Aguiluz, (who just made the move up to the Elite class this year), made us all proud with a 7th in the final. Not bad for his Elite class debut.
On Sunday, the entire Norwegian Redline team was in the final, but results were quite different due to some crashes. Today, it was Anders Grønsund’s turn to stand atop the podium, as he got the holeshot and took it home start to finish. Anders pulled away out of the first turn and could not be seen by the others until after the finish. Meanwhile, Hess and Larsen got tangled up in the last turn and crashed out of podium positions. Aguiluz, the Rookie, took fifth on Sunday, letting us know that he is a name to be reckoned with in the Elite ranks. Aleksander Birkeland, also a Redline rider, took the win on both Saturday and Sunday in the 14/15 class. He was looking untouchable all weekend.
Redline Norway had a great start to the season and plan to keep the most winningest brand of BMX bike out front all season long.
