From Nate Berkheimer: "
I just got home last night from the Riverside County Hospital where I spent the last 3 days being treated for a broken femur. It was a total freak accident, I simply bailed on a jump and ran out of it, on my 3rd step, I felt my leg bend backwards and I heard a loud pop. I collapsed, layed down in pain and waited for the ambulance. This happened around 5:00pm on Sunday, May 28th. I spent the night in the Hospital and was sent into surgery the next day around 12:00 noon. It went perfect and I now have a titanium rod running the full length of my left femur held in place by 4 screws. I do not have any cast or splint and the doctors told me to slowly try to walk on it. "
"I'm going to be starting my rehab in 2 weeks and hoping to be back riding asap. Here are some pictures of the X-Rays so you can see what happened to my bone..."
