Due to an untimely training injury reigning world championship bronze medalist Alise Post (St. Cloud, Minn./Redline Bicycles) will not contest the upcoming UCI BMX World Championships. "Obviously this is horrible news but I feel confident that we have three girls who will step up to the challenge," said USA Cycling BMX Programs Director
Mike King of the U.S. team's chances at the pending world championships.
"Alise is a strong competitor and we expect to see her back in the saddle soon." Post, currently the seventh-ranked rider in the UCI World standings, suffered a leg injury during training on Thursday. The extent of her injuries is unknown but the 20 year-old is expected to return to competition as soon as possible.
