Joris: I don't know why, but everybody asks me this question... hahah. I'm for sure not the stronger man on the gate and I will never be! We can see now that you don't have to be powerfull to win a big race... My coach and me prefer working hard on my bike over spending all my time at the gym! But of course I go to the gym sometimes :)

Joris: I'm living at Bordeaux for training so I have some good tracks close to my house there (Bordeaux lac, Canejan, Artigues and now we have a first SX straight at our training center)
and when I'm at my parents' house, I have the St Jean d'Angely track to ride on.
Do you click in when you hit the dirt spots to do some jumping?
Joris: No, I try to ride without clicks on the dirt jumps but I don't have many trails close to my house, so it's hard!
It looks like you have no problem with passing riders without riding aggressive. What is the secret to this, picking different lines?
Joris: Ahaha... There are no secrets for that! I'm just trying to look what lines the other rider takes and try some other lines. And I'm just riding like if I was training, I enjoy so much to be on my bike and have so much fun on my GT bike ... That's all I can say!

Joris: No, never, I really suck at that :)
What is your hometown track?
Joris: Bordeaux lac (training house)
St jean d'angely (parents house)
We’ve heard two Supercross tracks are being built in France. Will that help with your training program?
Joris: Yes I heard that too! One was built in the North of France (Lumbres) for Thomas Hamon ... It's just finished, so we are waiting some news about him to go ride there; looks really nice! One more is gonna be in the South of Frrance (AIx). I don't know when it's starting but will be riding it soon I hope.

Who do you normally ride/train with?
Joris: I'm training with some young rider like Thomas Doucet, Leopold Tramier... We are in a center where some other sports train! So it's good to be always talking with some good person about other sports!
Do you like the progression of the supercross tracks to bring the sport to a new level?
Joris: It's always good to bring the sport to a new level but we have to look if everything is good and to stay in the bmx level! Everybody was talking about the Papendal track! Seriously this track was crazy, the jumps were so big for us

Joris: Safety first for me... Bmx is really dangerous because you never know what the other rider is gonna do and how the other riders are thinking on the track!
If you can pick 3 riders that you don’t want in your moto, which ones are they?
Joris: me , me and me .. ahah
What’s your favourite track?
Joris: Easy for me now: Copenhagen, but I loved London too.
Do you have a goal for the rest of the year?
Joris: I will do my best to win the World Cup ranking and to win the last World Cup in Chula Vista!
Thanks to: everybody who supports me, my parents, familly, friends, my coach who helps me a lot everyday, my Girlfriend :D , and all my sponsor: GT bicycles, Oakley, Stade Bordelais BMX!
