This training camp went good until a week ago. I snapped my left knee pretty hard during a warm up exercise. No big problems right after that happened, but the next day I couldn’t walk normally because there is a little fluid in my knee joint. I already knew my meniscus is damaged a little through all these years of riding my bike and other training. I had more problems with my knees is the past, but this felt way different. It feels like something is not right insight the knee (probably a combination of wear and fluid). So I did physiotherapy
all week long at the OTC and unfortunately couldn’t ride the SX track at all.
We can fix this injury temporary, but I will need surgery sometime to clean out some stuff in my knee. I was able to ride the ABA track last Saturday, so that’s not bad if I couldn’t walk normally less than a week ago.
I hope to ride the SX track this week and race Phoenix this weekend.
