The second round of the USA BMX National series was held in Oldsmar Florida over the weekend. To get straight to the point I don't think that I should have gone to Florida I was completely burnt out. Six out of the past nine weekends I have raced with three back to back weekends in a row, competing in two different sports, three time zones in two weeks as well as moving to America for the year.
Fridays racing was a continental round for only USA citizens, Canada and Peurto Rican riders. Saturday got off to pretty
good start qualifying through the rounds into the semi final where I was given last lane pic. I could not figure out why I go

t last lane pic but ran with it and qualified through to the final. Up on the start gate for the final I was given last lane pic again and asked why? UCI said because I had no transponder on for timing. However I had my transponder on all day they had failed to tell me it hadn't been working. Whilst arguing about this moments before my final I was given lane four. Not in the greatest mindset I had quite a good lap but was not enough to get on the podium placing fifth for the day. Earlier that day I was also almost fined for my Leatt Neck brace covering my career 68 numbers on my back however I got out of that fine luckily for me as UCI were on a roll with fines over the weekend. I was disappointed in my self for letting politics and UCI drama affect my result.
Saturday night I was restless worn out, jet lagged still, sick and unable to sleep with only one hour of sleep before a 6am start I decided to pull out of racing and let me body rest up and recover for next weekend’s USA BMX National round in Desoto Texas.
