The MX2 is pretty open too but the top three favorites are Tyla Rattray, Christophe Pourcel and Antonio Cairoli. Tyla (KTM) had a horrific frontflip landing on Saturday and it was a surprise he lined up on Sunday after that crash. Looking back on the race Tyla is happy with two second places. Defending world champion Pourcel (Kawasaki) is recovering from an injury and it showed. You need to be in top shape to hang with these boys. A 7th in heat one and a 3rd in heat two has the Frenchman sit in 4th at this point but for sure he'll move up in the next few months.
Former MX2 World Champion Cairoli (Yamaha) is on a mission. The Italian wasted no time and won both moto's for the full pull of 50 Grand Prix points. Can he hold on to that? Garreth Swanepoel (South Africa) scored his first GP podium of his career for the Molson Kawasaki team.
