The MX2 hobby class had 160 sign ups and was split into three groups. Top 12 would make it to the A-final, the next 12 to the B-final and the rest would make it to the C-final after the first qualification round. With most (former) BMX riders only riding MX a few times a year this class is very interesting. Rob Karsmakers made the A-final as did Pieter Does and Glenn van de Wetering. Aarle-Rixtel local Martijn van Bakel rode Paul's old KTM 144cc to a 5th place in the qualifying race and looked fast. Frank "Lippe" Weckert came over from Germany and made the B-final. 
Wilco Groenendaal qualified for the C-final as did Mulderke. In the end Martijn van Bakel scored the best result out of this crew directly followed by Pieter Does who threw away a good result by laying his brand new Honda on the ground after a highsider coming out of turn two. But you know, it's all about bragging rights and not much more than that.
Other BMX faces seen at the race were those of Harm van Brussel and Evil Ivo van der Putten. It started to rain so it was time to get out of there before they hit the gate.
