The top 16 for last seasons world cup overall didn't have to race the qualification but they still had to do a seeding time trial. So that meant for me on Friday I raced 3 motos which took the top 48 riders from 140 riders. I managed to win all my races and being the top qualifier heading into saturdays racing.
Saturday I drew a pretty tough moto with the local and World cup champion in it. I managed to grab three 2nds. I then went on to win my quarter final. Made a bit of a bad judgment call deciding to pick a lane next to the World champ for the semi final. He cut me off and I had to hang back down the first straight. End of my night in the Top 16/Semi final. I felt I really deserved a Podium but that's racing and I can't tell you how excited I am for the next race. I have grown a lot as an athlete, and am feeling mentally strong now.
Home for 2 weeks before heading to the States for some ABA racing with the Haro team.
