On a day marred by weather delays and a slippery track Australia’s reigning world BMX champion Caroline Buchanan has clocked the fastest time in the Super Time Trial at the UCI BMX Supercross event in Papendal, Netherlands. The event in Papendal is the second stop on the BMX Supercross circuit and Buchanan’s time trial win puts her in the box seat to continue her stunning start to the year that includes victories in the first Supercross round in Manchester, the Oceania Championships and the Australian National titles.The men's time trial was won by Frenchman Joris Daudet (pictured above with Buchanan) with Australians Sam Willoughby, Anthony Dean, Bodi Turner, Corey Frieswyk, Matt Juster, Josh Callan and Kai Sakakibara all set to take their place in the field on Sunday.
The action kicks off with the men's 1/8 finals at 905pm AEST on Sunday night, with finals scheduled for 12:30am (women) and
12:40am (men).
