Entries are now open for the 2015 BMX Australia National Series to be held over nine absorbing rounds on some of the best tracks in the country, and promises to be the best series to date. Entries are now open for rounds one to eight, with intended participants encouraged to spread the word and ensure entry is secured before it’s too late by visiting the BMX Australia website on bmxaustralia.com.au or by registering through My BMX. The format for the 2015 National Series has increased, and will now see competition take place across nine rounds, with racing to be held in south-east Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland’s far north coast before finally concluding at the National Championships in Brisbane.
The series starts with rounds one and two to be held at Nerang BMX Club on the Gold Coast from January 2 – 3, before the series moves south to the host site of the 2014 National Championships in Shepparton, Victoria for rounds 3 and 4 to be held over the weekend of February 7 – 8.
Westside BMX Club in Perth will host rounds five and six on February 28 and March 1 before the series heads north-east to Cairns BMX Club who are set to host rounds seven and eight of the series over the Easter long weekend April 4 - 5.
The series will conclude with round nine to be held in conjunction with the Oceania BMX Championships at the Brisbane SX Track in Brisbane during the annual National Championships.
The series will see the best domestic and international riders descend on each of these locations to compete for points to build towards the honour of becoming crowned the 2015 National Series champion.
Riders will compete in the Champbikx Series, Challenge Series and Probikx Tour according to their age in both male and female classes. The Champbikx Series caters for 14, 15 and 16 years riders, which has traditionally seen some very competitive racing from the rising stars within the sport.
Those aged 17-29 and 30+ Masters for Men and 17+ Women will compete in the Challenge class, which continues to grow, whilst the Probikx Tour can expect to be contested by elite and world class riders alike.
All action will be live streamed around the world through BMXA TV. Stay tuned for further information.
