So where shall I start. We are already 2 months into the season and a lot of things already happened.
First I’ll start with sponsor/ business changes and things like that.

Pete Dylewski has been dropped by Pacific Cycles also known as the owner of GT, Schwinn and Mongoose. He was pretty much running the bmx program the last 2 years for them. I was very surprised to be honest with you and I wasn’t the only one. Pacific has been working on their support program the last couple of months. They dropped some truck drivers and hired some new drivers to replace them.
John Agnew took Pete’s place so that means he is working for the GT again. He worked for GT back in the late 90’s. He drove the truck around the country for them. He did clinics and he made sure the pit was always dialed at the races.

Thomas Allier has been dropped by GT too. I don’t know why but I know he is looking for a new ride.
-There are rumors going around about
Christophe Leveque too. I still don’t know what really is going on. The rumor is that he got dropped by GT too but he still got mentioned in the last press release by GT. So as you can see a lot of things are going on over at Pacific Cycles. Christophe hasn’t been able to race lately either. He has been struggling with a tennis elbow. Man that really sucks what he’s been going through the last couple of years.
-There are rumors going around about a new bike company. I think I know who is running it but I’m not going to tell you guys yet until I know it for sure.
-There is a new BMX magazine on the market, it’s called
Twenty. I haven’t been able to read one yet but I can’t wait to get my hands on one.
Kyle Bennett and
Bubba Harris have been rocking the ABA lately. Kyle has 3 wins and a couple of podiums. Bubba already has 5 wins and a bunch of podiums. These 2 are going to be in the title hunt at the Grand’s for sure and a couple of others are going to be in the mix also but that is more than half a year away so a lot of things can happen.
I have been to 2 ABA races this year. Reno was good but Phoenix was a little bit wet. Phoenix had a bit of rain Friday night before the race. They covered the track but the track still got very wet and it turned into another mud fest. ABA has been having some problems with the weather lately but what can you do about that. A bunch of pro’s didn’t even bother to show up in Phoenix at all. On one side I wished I made the same decision but the sponsors pay me to represent them so I did. The track got better through the weekend but it still sucked at the end and I was happy I was in my car driving back home on Sunday night with a big nice check in the back of the car. Yes, I won on Sunday .
The NBL had to postpone the race in Nellis. They had so much rain in January and February that the track was flooded and it was impossible to get the track ready for race day. The NBL made the right decision to move the race to another race weekend. It would have sucked to go there and find out that the race was canceled. This way it saved me a trip and a lot of money at the black jack table.
