Redline’s Kim Hayashi is looking to claim her history-making 5th consecutive NBL Elite Women’s title and sits atop the standings with 189pts – 15pts ahead of Supercross’s Samantha Cools (174pts) and Krystal Hime (172pts). Cools and Hime will have to be at their best with luck on their side if they are to have a chance at dethroning the reigning champ.
In Elite Men, Free Agent’s Cristian Becerine (187pts) clings to a two point lead and has his sights set on winning his first-ever NBL Elite Series title. This won’t come easy though as he’ll have two of the hottest acts in the world to deal with. Teammate and newly crowned UCI World Champion, Kyle Bennett (185pts), sits a mere two points back and the NBL’s reigning Elite Men’s Champion, Donny Robinson (172pts), is only a handful more off the pace. Formula’s Robinson comes in at the top of his game after a big win at the China UCI Supercross race that was held on the 2008 Olympic track.
Redline’s Jason Carnes will battle Formula’s Tim Dinger for Master class supremacy while J&R/Profile’s Mike Kapes takes on Felt’s Jason Morris and MCS’s Jonathan Villa for the Super-Ex title. GT’s Joey Bradford and TLD’s Amanda Geving control their own destiny in the Junior classes with comfortable leads but don’t count out Grands party crashers like Logan Collins, Gavin Lubbe and Madison Pitts.
