A National BMX Racing league stop took place in Spain last weekend. This year is the 5th anniversary of the Liga LBR and more and more international racers show up every year. This past weekend they had 12 nationalities racing in Races 1-2 of the season. 40 elite men and women riders from 7 countries raced at the El Campello track a place where some European teams train in the wintertime. Your Elite top threes looked like this:
Elite Men:
1st Julian Smidt from Germany
2nd Gustavo Alcojor from Spain
3rd Jan Svub from Check Republic.
Elite Women:
1st Romana Labounknvá, olympian rider in 2012 from Checz Republic.
2nd Mélanie Grun from France current 5th place French elite ranking.
3rd Local from Alicante-Spain Daría Torrero.
