Are you looking forward to ride the carbon Haro clutch?
Mischa: Definitely! In my opinion it is the most badass bike out there right now. What do you think the big advantage will be riding a carbon frame?
Mischa: I have ridden a carbon frame for about 3 years now. Previously with Redline, and now on the Clutch. It is definitely the way the industry is going. My first impression on this bike was how responsive it was when pedaling.
When you picked up the frame for the first time, did you smile?
Mischa: Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want one of these bikes right now!
Will you be racing the 2015 UCI BMX Supercross season?
Mischa: I am planning to. For the Canadian National team we will only be sending a certain number of riders to each World Cup, so I will have to qualify for one of those spots first.
Is qualifying for the Olympics to represent Canada on the top of your 'to do' list?
Mischa: I wouldn’t say it’s on the top. I have a lot of other short-term goals, but it is definitely what gives me the motivation for them all.
You also train the younger Canadian BMX racers, how does that make you feel?
Mischa: I love helping develop the local talent in my province. We have a lot of good riders in British Columbia, and I would love to see them grow into professionals one day! If I am able to contribute to BMX in Canada past my own athletic achievements, and ride my bike while I am doing, that’s a win-win for sure!
Thanks to: Ken, Adam, Kit, Jenn, Roger, and all the Canadian support staff. Also to my parents for their support, as well as my Canadian team mates that make every day worth it! Lastly, Eric and the team at LTP Sports for making this all happen.
Thanks Bart for the Interview!
