Denmark's Simone Christensen and Germany's Nadja Pries were on top of their game in Rock Hill. For Nadja Pries winning three heats surely felt good after a disappointing first part of the year. The German only scored points at SX World Cup round one in Manchester, Great Britain but seems to be back in shape in time for the final stop. Simone Christensen took the qualifying races like a champ, won three times and never looked back. The winner of the Baku European Games will be mixing it up with the top 8 pre-qualified women on Saturday.
Not only is setting the fastest lap time in the Time Trials Superfinal an advantage in 'gate-pick', it also shows the competition you're the one to beat the next day. Daylight had disappeared completely at the Novant Health BMX Supercross track but the six light masts lit up the entire track like it was daylight. After going down the 8 meter hill one by one it were Niek Kimmann from The Netherlands and Colombia's Mariana Pajon who set the fastest times. After many changes in the hot rocking chair the two stepped on the podium at the end of day one.
Racing will start at 6pm on Saturday evening 26 September. Tune into www.FATBMX.com to watch it live.
