Alise Post: Winning the Sweden World Cup weeks after a heartbreaking world championships.
Who do you think kicked ass in the Elite Men class this year?
Alise Post: I think Sam Willoughby is the greatest and most consistent rider year in and year out in the men’s class. Niek Kimmann also had a break-out year that can’t be overlooked.
Who impressed you most in the Elite Women class?
Alise Post: Stefany Hernandez has been continually improving each year, and I think this year she showed a lot of heart in all of her races and put it all together.
Do you remember when you heard the news that BMX Plus! magazine was no more?
Alise Post: Yes. I was extremely sad to hear the news... This was a long standing magazine that showcased our sport to a broad audience with quality content, and it was terrible to see it go. I will forever cherish my cover shot on this magazine!
Have you been active on social media in 2015 and where can people follow you?
Alise Post: Yes! I love to interact with people and share content on Twitter/Instagram (@alisepost11) and my FaceBook Athlete Page (Alise Post)
What track did you like most in 2015?
Alise Post: I always love Papendal, but I also really enjoyed riding the Worlds track in Zolder this year. It was unfortunate that the weather had such an effect on the racing, but the track itself was fun and challenging with a good combo of big jumps and tight technical sections. We rode there a few times and I never got bored.
Who did the best move on the track this year that you remember?
Alise Post: Unfortunately, I had a front row seat when Stefany Hernandez stuck a pretty amazing second turn move past Buchanan and myself in the rainy Worlds final in Belgium...
What race had the best race conditions?
Alise Post: Argentina was pretty good.
Where was the weather horrible to race in?
Alise Post: Pretty much every race we went to this year! The worst is a toss up between Zolder and Sweden. Rain, mud, wind and change of schedule/track made Zolder pretty much a blur of a race. Looking back I think the conditions were probably even worse than we remember because everyone was so focused on blocking it all out for the biggest race of the year. However, the gusts of wind in Sweden were pretty scary. It’s nerve racking to go down the hill and hope a gust doesn’t blow you off your bike mid-jump. It felt like you could completely lose control at any moment.
Worst crash of 2015?
Alise Post: Justin Posey at the Grand Junction, CO USA BMX SX Series race in August.
Who had the best looking bike of 2015?
Alise Post: Yours truly. #RedlineFlightAP #PurplePower
Best hotel/place you stayed at in 2015?
Alise Post: It was pretty cool to wake up beach front during the Rio Test Event!
Worst travel experience this season?
Alise Post: The trip to Argentina is always a long haul, but traveling back that far as beat up as I was from a couple of a hard crashes there was terrible. Needless to say, a massage and chiropractor were my first stops when I got back!
Best person you hung out with in 2015?
Alise Post: My now fiancé, Sam Willoughby.
Plans for 2016?
Alise Post: Build off of a successful 2015 and go for broke!
