almost finishing the season with a good result at the euro rounds in Manchester but slid out while in third in the last turn. Many stupid mistakes in a year equals many things to learn and do better this upcoming season.
Who do you think kicked ass in the Elite Men class this year?Luis Brethauer: No doubt Niek Kimmann. Winning races from lane 8 and getting the world title in his first elite year was crazy. Still, so many other really outstanding athletes out there, most of them kick ass on a daily basis.
Who impressed you most in the Elite Women class?
Luis Brethauer: Always Mariana. She's taking the skill level closer to the one of the men. But most of the girls stepped it up big time last year
Have you been active on social media in 2015 and where can people follow you?
Luis Brethauer: Always active, sometimes a little more, sometimes unfortunately a little less. But lately mostly active on Instagram and my Facebook page. Follow @brethauer572What track did you like most in 2015?
Luis Brethauer: I would've loved to race Rock Hill in the dry, but it was crazy how good it rode in the rain. Still Argentina is my favorite track, a real racetrack!
Who did the best move on the track this year that you remember?
Luis Brethauer: Probably Rezende with one of his moves. He's always one to watch out for. What race had the best race conditions?
Luis Brethauer: Argentina
Where was the weather horrible to race in?
Luis Brethauer: Every other Race! Haha literally, Papendal the first day was horrible wind and rain, Sweden was even worse with super strong gusts and Rock Hill with probably the most rain at an SX race ever and of course the worlds with wind and rain and races from the small hill.Worst crash of 2015?
Luis Brethauer: Probably Twan van Gendt in Papendal's TT.
Who had the best looking bike of 2015?
Luis Brethauer: The German National Team of course The Haro Citizen is the best and best looking bike on the market. I like the looks of the new SpeedCo frame aswell, DB just knows how to design bikes. Best hotel/place you stayed at in 2015?
Luis Brethauer: On our way back home from Argentina we had a layover in Buenos Aires and we were staying in some really fancy hotel, that was pretty cool. The Stay City Appartments in Manchester are also always great.
Worst travel experience this season?
Luis Brethauer: Travelling is luxury. Even if something "bad" happens it's something many people could never experience. Best person you hung out with in 2015?
Luis Brethauer: Many, many good souls in our sport. But getting to know the Webster brothers better last year and now training and soon travelling a lot with these two idiots was one of the best achievements of 2015.
Plans for 2016?
Luis Brethauer: Preparing for the season as good as possible and then performing without mistakes. Just to show what I'm capable of. Qualifying and having a good result at the Olympics would be cool. And overall having a good time!
