More than 5000 people enjoy this discipline in which Arturs Matisons –Latvia- claims victory against the world’s best riders This spectacular sport will be contested in the Olympics this year for first time in Beijing. The Madrid BMX Supercross World Cup has been celebrated at Palacio de Deportes where 5000 people have enjoyed this spectacular show.
For the second time, Madrid is the place in which the best riders of the world have been here to participate in this international competition, maybe the most crowded of the whole circuit.

Action started at 18.00 o’clock, when the riders had to face each other. The crowd has seen fast races, with fights in each jump, turn and curve. Everybody enjoyed watching some of the best riders such as
Mike Day (U.S. – Third at the X-Games),
Robert De Wilde (The Netherlands - 2 Times World Champion) and
Donny Robinson (U.S. - Former Worlsup Champion).
Although local stars
Pablo Galán and
Rafa Álvarez did not qualify for the finals, both of them showed their happiness, not only for riding at home, but for bettering their results from their first experiences in BMX Supercross last year.

Apart from the competition, the crowd enjoyed a spectacular Dirt Jump contest, Trial exhibitions, DJ sessions and some of the best extreme sport videos.
Once again, Madrid shows that it is a perfect venue to welcome very important events in so hopefully holding the 2016 Olympic Games
