In the entire Elite Men racing field you can spot one single cro-moly frame. All others are made of Aluminium or Carbon, but Dams Godet has chosen to go the cro-mo route with his Standard 125R. Not only does he have the only real chrome bike on the circuit, the Frenchman has also made multiple finals on his steel bike showing that all the tricky fabrication and material is not needed to do well at the World Cup level. How long have you been riding the frame that you are currently on?
Dams Godet: January 1st

Do you experiment much with geometry/size of your frame, stem, bars?
Dams Godet: I used to try a few things in the past but I feel great on a « classic » bike so I don’t really care now.

Do you have something customized to make your bike more personal and perfect for you?

Dams Godet: I ride a Standard Byke frame and changed a few thing from the basic geometry : 21.5 TT, 15.3 chainstay and 74° head tube angle. Nothing crazy, I just need a good feeling with the bike so a XXXXXL with low bar is not for me!

Did you get to pick the colour of your frame and the parts?
Dams Godet: Yes I wanted to build bikes that I will keep for my old days! I picked chrome frame and I am waiting for a Matte Black and a Trans Blue. I like black parts but I could change it easily depending on my mood! The full black will be my favorite!
