By performing in 14 and 15 year age class finals at the BMX Australia National Championships. The 
highest ranked applicant is eligible for a grant of $3000 each from Jayco Australia to assist in getting to the BMX World Championships. Giving them the opportunities to compete on the world stage and gain the experience necessary to be champions of the future.
A huge goal of mine for my scholarship/mentoring program was to be able to assist an Aussie girl to win a BMX World Championship title for herself.
I pinched myself waking up to the news that both the girls in Baku Azerbaijan had performed like true champions and represented themselves, their sponsors, Australia and Buchanan Next Gen with excellence.

Buchanan Next Gen started in 2014 because I knew the inspiration and direction I had gained from mentors in my career had made a huge impact on me. I wanted to give back to the sport that has taken me through an amazing journey to the highest level competing at the Olympic Games for Australia.
I love to support and nurture the future of BMX women in sport. To break the mold of support in Australia taking it to a new level of professionalism and have these grants available from corporate companies for the girls.
