Do you have a spare bike as a back up?
Kamren Larsen: Not at the moment, but my spare, which will probably be my new race bike will be coming soon!
What parts do you change most often?
Kamren Larsen: I'm super picky about my brakes, so my cables / pads are replaced often.
Who are some of the people who hook you up with parts when you need them?
Kamren Larsen: Luckily my team Supercross BMX owns both Supercross and Speedline products, and they make everything, so a huge shout-out to them.
Do you care about the looks of your bike?
Kamren Larsen: Of course! A new bike is like getting a new house or car to me. We as riders hold our bikes to a high standard, and love to take care of them.
Are you bummed when the bike gets scratched up?
Kamren Larsen: Unfortunately I am pretty stubborn with the scratches and marks, I'm the type of guy who cleans and regreases the bike almost every week, so when I get a scratch, it bums me out.
Are you on the disc brake yet?
Kamren Larsen: I haven't joined the disk brake game yet. I love the idea, but haven't had all of the tools necessary to run it, maybe in the future!
What are your thoughts on carbon?
Kamren Larsen: I've been on carbon for the past 2 years (going on 3) and I absolutely love them. The way carbon feels on a Supercross track is second to none and I love the stiff feeling down the hills and in the turns.
What tire pressure do you run?
Kamren Larsen: It's track depending, but on most tracks, 90-95 PSI
Who do you trust working on your bike to get it ready for the race?
Kamren Larsen: Usually I am my own mechanic, but sometimes if we have a team mechanic with us at the races, I'll have them go over everything I do. I never let another rider touch it! Haha.
Thanks to: Bill Ryan at Supercross BMX and Speedline, Jamie Staff, AMV, Tony D at USA Cycling, and Ray Hudson at Fly Racing, for the support this 2019 season.
