How much does a new bike motivate you at the start of each season?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: A lot! It feels great to ride a new bike, and it makes you wanna do everything even better than normal. I also love making sure it's running as smooth as possible and that it's shining clean for every session.
Do you have a spare bike as a back up?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: Not a specific spare bike, but since the WCC team rides the exact same parts, we always have spare parts around for all of us.
What parts do you change most often?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: Grips and pedals!
Who are some of the people who hook you up with parts when you need them?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: Liam Phillips and the WCC makes sure I have what I need!
Do you care about the looks of your bike?
Rider: YES! Nothing worse than riding a bike that isn't looking sharp.
Are you bummed when the bike gets scratched up?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: Very! Haha, but guess it's part of the game.
Are you on the disc brake yet?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: Nooo, staying old-school I guess.
What are your thoughts on carbon?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: Well, since most of my bike is carbon, I guess that answers that question pretty well.
What tire pressure do you run?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: 100 psi
Who do you trust working on your bike to get it ready for the race?
Simone Tetsche Christensen: I always make it ready myself, but Liam isn't the worse mechanic out there. The WCC mechanic also helps out if needed.
Thanks to: The World Cycling Centre and Liam Phillps for making sure my bike setup is as good as possible and of course my sponsors mentioned above!
