We arrived in China after a long travel via Rome, Italy and HongKong. Alitalia sucked big time as we were only allowed 20 kilograms of luggage on a trip to China. Crossing the border in Shenzen was a mess. Tons of forms to fill in before we could move on. The lines were long and did not move. It was hot, humid and we were sweating our asses off without doing anything. Once at the hotel we were greated with a banner with the Olympic rings on it. What a trip. Before you think we actually made it to Beijing for the Olympics, the intro is a lookback to the trip I made in 1993 to do demos in China with a crew of BMX-ers and skateboarders. Beijing back then was one of the candidates for the 2000 Olympics but they got it in 2008 and it includes BMX racing. The trip to the couch was a lot faster than the trip to China. It is 4am right now and the time trials are on its way. After one round Maris Strombergs is in the lead followed by Dutchy
