Free Agent Bicycles are proud to announce the signing of current European, World and Olympic Champion Maris Strombergs as the newest member of the 2009 Free Agent Team. Strombergs, the 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist of Latvia, will move to the U.S. to take on the next chapter in is already golden career the U.S. National circuit. “It’s going to be a busy year for Maris and Free Agent, but he's already looking forward to the new challenge and a chance to really see what racing is all about in the USA,” said team manager Dale Holmes. Strombergs will also compete in the UCI World Cup, select European events and will defend his UCI World Title in Australia during the 09 season.Maris will start his preparations for the new season during November and December in Europe. In January, he will move to California
where he will meet the rest of the Free Agent Team and get acquainted to the U.S. circuit.
