Last weekend Formula¹s Steven Wong was invited to meet the President of Hong Kong, who honoured him with the chief executive's commendation for community service award. Steven received this recognition for his fine results from the past years in BMX and his excellent efforts promoting the sport to the HK youth.
Steven has obtained somewhat of a celebrity status after winning the All China Games in 2006. This was the introduction of BMX racing for most Hong Kong citizens. In 2009, the first ever official BMX track will be built in Hong Kong in support of the Hong Kong Cycling Federation. Without a doubt, a lot of HK youngsters will try to follow in Steven¹s tire tracks.
