I didn’t qualify to race the ROC, which reduced my track time greatly. I struggled during the NAG 5 challenge to be comfortable and race smooth laps, but I managed to grab a second in the final after many changes each lap. Going into Grands day it was all or nothing to me, a win or a loss. I won open, but class is the only one that matters to me. I did my job well from gate 8 and tried to slot into the top three, but got pushed over the first turn. Sucks to end my amateur career this way, but I accomplished everything I wanted to in previous years: National #1 Amateur, 3x NAG 1, 4x ROC 1, and a NAG 5 Challenge win. I wanted to solidify it with another cup, but I couldn’t make it happen. Congrats to @brodycole11 for the amazing season, that cup is well-deserved!
I overcame a lot this year and learned a lot about myself. Besides Grands, I ended the season strong and I am very happy with my riding. Thanks to my parents for always supporting me and helping me chase my dreams. Thanks to my coach, Donavon, for helping me with my training and racing. Thanks to my girlfriend for the continuous love and support. Thanks to everyone who supported me this year, especially those who supported me when I was at my lowest at the beginning of the year. Finally, thanks to my team and sponsors for providing me with the best products and support:
@factorylsg @throdwn @thormxofficial @atlasbrace @6dhelmets @gformbike @ridestacyc @carbone_cartel @pro_gate @boxbmx @htcomponents @surfacesunscreen @odigrips Erickson Spray Foam
Looking forward to big things in 2024. Stoked to be making the jump to the Pro class and learning from all the new things that will be thrown my way. Also excited for some new things with the team and sponsors.
