Last weekend the Final Rounds of the European Championships Series and the European Challenge were held in Fredericia, Denmark. In the Championships Category, Rihards Veide and Edzus Treimanis were competing.
Max Ganser had a bad crash in practice and could not race. Niklas Laustsen and Steven Wong were still in the UCI Centre in Aigle preparing for the Worlds.

Rihards Veide take 6th place both mains in the Junior Men Category and shows he’s ready for the Worlds after his injury making all mains in the last 5 rounds. Rihards is ranked 14th even though he missed 6 rounds due to his injury.

In Elite Men, Edzus Treimanis just missed out on both mains with a 5th in the semis, but giving him enough points to stay in 6th place of the overall ranking, his best Elite Ranking so far. In Elite Cruiser, it took Edzus some time to get used to the 24” and he just made it through the motos, but managed to struggle through 1/8 and 1/4 final to strand in the semi in another 5th place.

In the Challenge Lucie Meerholz, Bastien Merle and Nico van Dartel were competing. Lucie Meerholz made the main of the Girls 13 category taking 4th place. Bastien Merle made both finals of the Boys 16 and Cruiser 15/16, but crashed twice giving him 8th place in both. Nico van Dartel couldn’t find his rhythm in the Cruiser 30/39 and was out in the motos. He couldn’t compete in the Men 30+ on Sunday because his bicycle was stolen from the Team display on Saturday evening when he was taking photos of the podia.
