2022 UCI BMX Racing World Championships: Five different nations win the rainbow jerseys
The road to the main finals at the 2022 UCI BMX Racing World Championships was long but most of the favourites made it there, ready to compete for the rainbow jerseys under the blue sky in Nantes in France.
French victory in the Women Junior class
The first UCI BMX Racing World Champion title for the day was claimed by Léa Brindjonc (FRA) as she took home the victory in the Women Junior Category, with the French flags waving her on from the grandstands. Latvia’s Veronika Monika Sturiska was runner-up and Sabina Kosarkova (CZE) finished third.

BMX Racing is a major sport in France. The 2022 UCI BMX Racing World Championships being organised in Nantes, therefore, looks to be a very exciting event. More than 3,000 riders are competing in the Challenge and Master races during the week, before the world’s best Elite, U23 and Junior riders start competing for the UCI World Championship titles during the weekend.
