The Dutch Olympic Committee nominated the following BMX racers for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China: Robert de Wilde, Willy Kanis, Raymond van der Biezen, Rob van den Wildenberg and Martijn Scherpen. The racers need to show form by making a top 32 result at the 2008 UCi BMX World's in China or at one of the UCi World Cups. Hup Holland Hup! 
Many people might not know what, who and where ABD is from. ABD stands for Avanti BMX Development. Avanti is a bike major bike player in New Zealand and Australia. They have a very strong product line, combining rider feedback with the experience and knowledge of a development team to produce a range of innovative bikes taking on the world. Looking at how the company started was from the boom of BMX in the 80's. The name Supersport was a well known name in BMX, with a BMX team of riders travelling the country promoting BMX. 
The votes are in and have all been tallied for this years ABA/BMXer magzines Golden Crank awards. This year the ABA received more votes than ever and the voting was closer than ever. The Golden Crank Awards are voted on by the fans and are awarded at the Hall Of Fame banquet in Tulsa, Oklahoma at ABA`s host hotel, the Crowne Plaza, Wednesday November 21st at 2:00pm. 
The racing at the ABA Fall Nationals - Disney Cup was exciting to say the least. With three PRO SERIES scores on the line, many of the sports top athletes were on hand to take a shot at getting some much needed points towards the ABA BMX titles and the brand new Suzuki`s that go with them. Kyle Bennett continued his tear on the PRO BMX scene by picking up the wins on the first two days and taking home solid second on Sunday. Kyle is on the fast track to ABA title contention and looks to be keeping "Easy Money" Danny C. in check. Kyle has been close many time to winning it all, will this be the year? Not to be out done, Danny C. showed why he's been the man to beat this season on the ABA PRO circuit. Danny picked up a HUGE win on Sunday to stop Kyle's domination of the weekend. This marks Danny's 8 win on the season and puts him in the drivers seat for his first ever ABA PRO title.
The American Bicycle Association hosted the inaugural Disney Cup event Lake Buena Vista, FLA. at Disney's Wild World of Sports Complex. The Disney Cup event proved to be a must attend event with over 3000 participants and 8,000 spectators over the three day event, which represented riders from 45 states and 11 different countries. Friday’s event was a record setting race event for ABA BMX in Florida with over 1,000 participants and 173 motos, Saturday was another record setting day in ABA BMX history with it 
Although small in numbers but stronger than superglue, TEAM REDLINE’s three Ams met up with Vet Champ Jason Carne$ to take on DisneyWorld’s “coolest rides” (and we’re not talking Space Mountain and the Big Thunder Railroad). Already sitting at the top (or near it) of NAG points, Redline’s amateur force was hoping to 
After training for 45 minutes this year it was time to show all my skills at the motocross track made on a cornfield. A lot of BMX'ers enter these races so it's a kind of reunion more than a real race. My goal this year was to beat my friend Frans Swinkels but I must say he beat me in both races nice and clear and the only thing I'm proud of is that my starts were better than his and even better then previous years. We both made the B-final (Losers race) and went 7th and 8th into the first corner but soon we got passed by faster riders 
The Psykovan celebrated its 100 thousand miles of travelling to and from races. Most recently, the van made 2 trips to So Cal and one to Vegas. First it was the Redline cup finals west and then the ABA So Cal National and finally to Vegas for the UCI North American Qualifier. These races were awesome. 
The NBL announced their 2008 racing schedule. Are they coming to a track near you? They'll be all over the United States so most likely they will. Check it out and bring a bubby. 
Another exciting year of Bring A Buddy has ended and left in its dust another successful season. With almost 2000 buddies recruited and over 500 new members, this year will definitely be one for the record books. This year the NBL offered a Grand Prize of the Ultimate BMX Bedroom which got many off to an excellent start on their recruiting. Kelley Cottrill was our ‘Ultimate’ winner by recruiting the most new members to the NBL and will be outfitted with new, custom one-of-kind bedroom necessities making her room the Ultimate BMX Bedroom.
