This Friday Chicagoans will have the chance to witness the elite of the action sports world when the 2009 ASA Action Sports World Tour comes to Sears Centre Arena. For one night only, starting at 7:30 on May 1st, some of the sports ‘sickest’ tricks will be on display when the industry’s top X Games athletes take to the ramps in the Skateboard Vert and Big Air BMX Triples contests. Chicago is the third stop of the ASA Action Sports World Tour, which this past weekend visited Minneapolis’ Target Center. Big Air BMX Triples will be an amazing treat for the Windy City’s audience when top Big Air stars including
T.J. Ellis, Austin Coleman and Chicago’s own
Koji Kraft take on
Cory Nastazio and
James Foster, athletes who are widely known for their dirt jumping expertise. ASA’s 170-foot Triples course offers a tempting challenge to all BMX riders, pushing their skills to new heights of progression. Ellis, also a known dirt jumper, has had great success in the Triples discipline, placing in the top three at two of ASA’s Big Air BMX Triples contests with flashy flips and triple tailwhips.
